Renault Australia Product Manager, Commercial Strategy
Elena Woods has worked with Renault for over 10 years across three different countries, and is responsible for Product Commercial Strategy across the passenger, SUV and EV model ranges. She is an integral part of the Renault Australia senior management team with extensive sales and marketing experience within the automotive industry.
Elena started her electric vehicle induction in 2011, overseeing the launch of Renault’s first electric vehicles in Europe as Global Product Manager. The role included product management, commercial offer development and the coordination of marketing activities to deliver Renault’s vision of affordable electric mobility for all. After moving to Australia in 2014, Elena commenced with Renault Australia initially in the role of Electric Vehicle Specialist, which saw her work cross-functionally on the development of electric vehicle strategy and the local introduction. In 2015 she was appointed to the role of Sales & Marketing Manager for Australia which saw her become responsible for coordinating commercial activity between Australia and the Region. In June 2017, Elena was appointed to the role of Passenger Car Model Line Manager which gave her direct responsibility for the product strategy and local market implementation of all passenger cars – including electric vehicles – in Australia. In November 2017, Renault launched ZOE and Kangoo Z.E. in Australia, which Elena was the key driver for within Renault Australia.

Electric vehicles challenge the general concepts of classic vehicle ownership – from refueling and cost-in-use to living with and driving them. Drawing on case studies and experience from Europe, electric vehicles, their specificities and their benefits will all be discussed.
