Topic: SunSpoT – a Smart Cities Project, working with councils to map solar potential

Abstract Overview:

Councils are now able to map their solar PV potential with an Australian innovation by the APVI called SunSPot. The SunSPoT tool allows the user to assess and understand the solar potential of their rooftop assets, helping energy consumers and businesses make better decisions about solar PV. This online tool was developed in partnership with UNSW and with the support of the Australian Government Smart Cities and Suburbs program. By partnering with SunSPoT, access is provided to the online tool that provides a detailed savings analysis to the Council, home and business owners for smart energy decision-making.
