Environmental Strategies Officer - Lismore City Council

Sharyn is an Environmental Strategies Officer (Sustainability and Climate Change) at the Lismore City Council (LCC). Sharyn has been responsible for successfully formulating and delivering Lismore City Council’s Climate Change and Sustainability programs since 2002. Her role includes developing sustainability priorities within the organisation and formulating relevant projects and targets to achieve set priorities. Sharyn conducts the council’s greenhouse gas emissions monitoring and reporting program, sustainability staff engagement programs, and she is currently leading the implementation of the councils 2023 Renewable Energy Master Plan which incorporates Lismore Community Solar – an innovative Council/Community Energy project.

Sharyn will present Lismore City Councils 2023 Renewable Energy Goal, and Lismore Community Solar an innovative Council/Community Energy Project. This project incorporates Australia’s first council-operated, community-funded solar farm using the latest ‘floating’ technology on a pond at Lismore City Councils sewage treatment plant in Northern NSW.
