ICC Sydney is the centrepiece of the NSW Government’s $3.4 billion revitalisation of Darling Harbour, which has just received the highest available rating for master-planned precincts in Australia, demonstrating ‘World Leadership, by achieving a 6 Star Green Star Communities (v1) rating from the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA)’. The socially responsible and environmentally sensitive building boasts a total of 1959 solar panels and the system has the capacity of generating 850 kw of energy, it has achieved over 20% reduction in annual greenhouse gas emissions and have set a target of 14% reduction in portable water use.
